Promata informs

Promata has also passed this year's monitoring audit without any deviations or suggestions for improvement!

Same procedure as every year!? In 2001, we officially certified our high quality standard with DIN EN ISO 9001 and have been putting it to the test regularly ever since with a quality management system and an annual audit. This year was no different, and we can proudly and happily announce: Audit passed without a hitch!

But is it really “the same procedure” every year? Why go to the trouble of quality management and take on the stress of an audit every year? What is the point of a quality standard and a corresponding seal of approval?

The quality management standard has been around since 1979. Since September 2015, ISO 9001 has been available in its currently valid fifth revision, DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, which reflects today’s economic realities in order to meet the changing requirements of markets, increasingly networked trade and the overall increased complexity of products and services. As the name suggests, it is about quality and how it can be achieved and managed in a company.

Our customers are at the center of our entrepreneurial activity. It is important for us to understand their needs and to ensure that their expectations are not only met, but exceeded if possible. Only by challenging ourselves and continuously improving Promata’s overall performance can we realize long-term success and be an attractive, reliable partner for our customers.

This is where ISO 9001 comes into play. It helps us as a company to significantly improve our processes and the quality of our operational performance. We have managed to increase the transparency of our operational processes and thus optimize workflows and also reduce the error rate (should errors nevertheless occur, there are detailed instructions on how to rectify them and prevent them in the future).

For our customers, we thus create added value and increase customer satisfaction by being able to meet their requirements in the best possible way. Few or no errors and effective use of resources mean reduced costs and increased service quality for our customers. Efficiency and responsiveness are further benefits for our customers.

But a quality management system also brings benefits for our employees. Employees at all levels determine the essence of a company. Only if they are recognized, empowered and encouraged will they be motivated to give their all to achieve the company’s goals. Clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities, trained and well-informed employees, and transparent processes thus make a decisive contribution to motivation and quality optimization. A QM system forms the basis for a learning and continuously improving organization. Sustainable development is the basis for securing the future.

Quality management must be lived and adapted to changing circumstances and requirements. There is an audit every year, but the year until the next audit is never like the previous one. Even if the basic processes are the same, each audit is a new challenge every time. Everything is a living, evolving process. And after each audit, the motto is: After the audit is before the audit! Here’s to a new, exciting year!
